![]() ![]() There's duct tape residue on the resonant head because we run a recording studio and people put tape on our drum heads when we're not looking. ![]() The bass drum has a yearish-old Evans EMAD batter head with the damper ring and an un-cut ebony head on the front. In some pictures, we left the older clear heads on to show that the dampers are in place and working. On the batter side, we've put brand new Remo coated Ambassador heads on the snare drum and both toms. Due to the presence of the double tom holder (included, but not pictured as of publishing), we believe this kit started out as a 5-piece "Stage Master" outfit (#7925 in 1975 catalog) and was relieved of the 13x9" rack tom at some point in its life. Most of the Royalstar snares you'll find for sale by themselves or in kits are 8-lug drums. This outfit is 22x14" bass drum / 16x16" floor tom / 12x8" rack tom / uncommon 10-lug 14x5" snare drum. Please find me the real-world, practical difference between the two. ![]() These are basically Imperialstars with slightly "downgraded" hardware. We purchased a new house kit for the studio ( !!!!!!!!!), so we're selling our trusty Royalstars with the heaviest of hearts. ![]()
